Our First Day at the Camp and... We go Surfing!!!! (by the "Mayores" group)

In the morning, the arrival was very good, but the rooms are small. After leaving the bags in the bedrooms, we went to the English classes with our teacher Meli. In this class we read a text about surfing and made other things. Then, Elena, another teacher of English, told us the rules of the camp. Finally, we went to eat, but there was a very big queue because there was also a Portuguese group of people here. The lunch was very good!

Por la mañana, la llegada estuvo muy bien, pero las habitaciones son pequeñas. Después de dejar las maletas en las habitaciones, fuimos a clase de Inglés con nuestra profesora Meli. En esa clase leímos un texto sobre el surf e hicimos otras cosas. Luego, Elena (otra de las profesoras del inglés) nos dijo las normas del campamento. Al finalizar, nos fuimos a comer pero había una cola enorme porque también había un grupo de Portugueses aquí. La comida estuvo muy bien!

In the afternoon we went surfing. The little children went first, while we swam in the sea. When they finished, we went to learn surfing. This sport (surf) is very funny and we got tired. The best surfers in our group were Lucía Alonso, Martina and Marta, because they were able to stand up on the surfboard more time than the other guys.

Por la tarde nos fuimos a hacer surf. Los pequeños fueron primero, mientras nos bañamos. Este deporte (surf) es muy,muy divertido y nos cansamos. Los mejores surfistas de nuestro grupo fueron Lucía Alonso, Martina y Marta porque fueron capaces de ponerse de pie en la tabla de surf durante más tiempo que el resto.

After having dinner, we had free time until ten o’clock. Then we started the “Presentation Party”: we played games in order to know each other. We had to memorize the name of all the people, even the teachers had to do it. At eleven o’clock we had to go to bed after this exciting day, but we were speaking until half past twelve.

Después de cenar tuvimos tiempo libre hasta las diez. Entonces comenzó la "Fiesta de Presentación": hicimos  juegos para conocernos los unos a los otros. Teníamos que memorizar el nombre de toda la gente, incluso los profes tuvieron que hacerlo. A las once, nos tuvimos que ir a la cama después de este día tan emocionante, pero nos quedamos hablando hasta las doce y media.
